Discover natural processes, experience seasonal changes, and build meaningful connections to nature as your students explore and discover our inspirational forest and garden through a series of five interconnected visits throughout the school year.

  • Inquiry-based learning
  • Hands-on science
  • Food Gardening
  • Nature Play
  • Reflection Time

Each class visits for a full morning five times throughout the school year. Each visit involves hands-on learning activities on a seasonal and age-appropriate theme, time for exploration and play, and a reflective talking stick circle. Every student completes a journal project as they progress throughout the year.

Through the generosity of our donors, a number of classes attend this program free of charge.

Due to the popularity of the program, these spaces are assigned through a lottery process, with preference given to Grade 1 classes. The lottery for funded spots for the 2018-19 school year is now open. Applications will be accepted until the end of day on Friday, June 22.
