Introduction to Dental Anatomy & Terminology (Online)

Provides basic familiarity with dental terminology and anatomy valuable for dental courses and for effective communication in a dental office. After class begins, students are required to arrange a 3-hour observation at a dental office of their choice. Statement of course completion is awarded on successful course completion. Recommended for entry into the Dental Assistant Certificate program at Vancouver Island University.

Meet your Dental Terminology Instructor:

Wendy Mazzei

Wendy Mazzei has over thirty years’ experience as a Certified Dental Assistant and over ten years as an instructor. As an auxiliary instructor in the Dental Assistant program at Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo and as a Certified Dental assistant in general practice in Nanaimo, Wendy brings to this course experience in all aspects of dentistry. She is a member of CDSBC and CDABC. Wendy looks forward to working with students interested in dental terminology.
