Health & Human Services

A wide variety of courses are available at the Powell River campus. Every program has a practice component, where theory moves into application as students learn to work effectively in their chosen career.

Graduates are well positioned to make meaningful contributions to society through their practice with individuals, families, groups and communities, and have strong success with employment upon completion of their programs. Active and participatory learning are what one can expect, as well as relevant and current curriculum. Learners are guided through experiences that require self-awareness, commitment, reflection, critical thinking, and teamwork. Through these varied and rich learning experience, students will gain the competencies necessary to enter their chosen health or human services career.
